INTERNATIONAL ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE INFORMATION
Participants should book their flights to Ben Gurion International Airport (near Tel Aviv).
Transfers from Ben Gurion International Airport directly to Ein Gedi and return to Ben Gurion Airport
Participants arriving to Ben Gurion Airport and planning to travel directly to Ein Gedi can reserve a shared transfer from the airport.
Please note that there may be up to two hours waiting time before shared taxis depart from the airport to accommodate passengers arriving on different flights. Please indicate on the online registration form if you wish to reserve this service for your arrival and/or departure so as to ensure availability. The cost is US$ 40.00 each way. The service operates 24 hours a day, by pre-arrangement. The drive to/from the Ein Gedi takes about 2½ hours, depending on traffic.
For your departure, the pre-arranged shared shuttle service will pick you up from Ein Gedi, giving enough time for
the 2½ hour journey to the airport and 2½-3 hours additional time needed for the security airport check in.
PLEASE NOTE: If your flight will depart Israel on Sept. 6th at 19:00 or later, please feel free to choose the "Bus from Ein Gedi to Jerusalem followed by Ben-Gurion" option.
If your departure flight on Sept. 6th is going to be earlier than 19:00, you will need to choose the option "Transfer from Ein Gedi to Ben-Gurion". Departure transfers will then be arranged onsite at the conference.
The bus will depart the Ein Gedi Hotel at roughly 13:30, stopping first in Jerusalem near the central bus station. The bus will then continue to Ben-Gurion Airport for drop-off and will continue to Tel Aviv for a final drop-off at the Savidor (Arlozorov) train/bus station.
LOCAL ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE INFORMATION
Ein Gedi is located in the Judean Desert, over an hour's drive from Jerusalem.
Public transportation is available (pre-booking preferred) as follows:
From Jerusalem central bus station:
Bus number 486 departing daily at 08:00, 09:00, 09:40, 10:30, 11:30, 12:30, 13:30 and 16:45.
This journey takes approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Bus number 444 departing daily at 06:30, 08:30, 10:30, 11:30, 14:00, 15:30 and 17:00.
The journey takes an hour. The bus stops only on the road 90, at the entrance to the kibbutz. Additional 20 mins of walk uphill required to reach the hotel.
From Tel Aviv:
There are no direct buses to Ein Gedi. You will need to take bus number 480 (departing every 20 mins) from Tel Aviv Arlozorov /Savidor Bus Station to Jerusalem Central Bus Station or take bus number 405 (departing every 20 mins) from Tel Aviv central Bus station to Jerusalem Central Bus Station and then connect to the one of the buses mentioned above.
